This poncho absolutely thrilled me! The WASP I Z3A camouflage pattern works incredibly well in Czech forests and out on open meadows; in the field, you practically blend into nature. The Rip-Stop fabric is lightweight yet exceptionally resistant to tearing on branches. The poncho reliably keeps the rain out even in a proper torrential downpour. Its biggest advantage is its versatility – in just a few seconds, you can use the press studs to turn it into a shelter tarp or a groundsheet under your sleeping bag. It takes up almost no space in a rucksack, and the weight is minimal. For any bushcraft or military enthusiast, it is definitely an excellent investment!

The poncho cannot be compared to others in terms of quality, mainly thanks to the RIP-Stop finish. It has already been used as an emergency, not too large, shelter and as a cover for a backpack. The camouflage conceals very well according to the description, and I myself had trouble finding my backpack covered with the poncho after a few metres. The price/quality ratio is perfect.

The fabric is sturdy and resistant to soaking. The Phantomleaf WASP I Z3A camouflage looks great – in green forests it fulfils its function well even from several metres away, as long as you remain still.

I took this poncho as a simple option for rain in the forest. You throw it on – and you’re not getting wet, plus the Woodland pattern looks just right in the woods. A big plus is that a backpack fits under it nicely and your back doesn’t get wet, which often happens with jackets. But it’s a poncho, and in the wind, it has a life of its own. If it’s blowing hard, without decent fastening, it starts flapping around and gets annoying. And if you’re moving under it, it gets stuffy quickly, especially if you’re walking actively. Overall, it’s a decent thing for the rain, you just need to understand its format.

Despite bad opinions about this company, I decided to buy something from them again because of the camouflage (phantomleaf shared the pattern with only two companies, including mil-tec). To my surprise, I'm not disappointed. After sealing the seams on the hood, the poncho does not leak, it's very large, and the buttons look sturdy. However, the pouch fell apart immediately – the seams ripped the first time I used it. Apart from the weak pouch and lack of sealed seams, the poncho is really comfortable. For better convenience, I recommend waterproofing it with a spray (the material is waterproof but not hydrophobic, and during a heavy downpour it might let water through over time) and securing the seams. Then, for this price, you get good protection from the rain for yourself and your backpack. Additionally – I am over 180 cm tall and the poncho reaches a bit below my knees, so it’s also worth protecting your trousers and shoes, otherwise your calves and feet might get wet.

A decent poncho at a good price. The material is durable and sturdy. The WASP I Z3A camouflage is very effective. Once unfolded, it can also be used as a small tarp or a temporary shelter canopy.

The camouflage is really excellent. It protects perfectly against rain, which is crucial (sometimes you get slight condensation on your back). It also retains warmth well. However, it is quite heavy and after about two hours of wearing you can really feel it.
