A precision prismatic compass enclosed in an aluminium case. The floating dial indicates the direction, so you can use the compass while running or marching without any problems.
The prismatic compass has a bearing compass function thanks to a special front sight and rear sight and a map compass thanks to the side graduation on the opening case. Modeled after the original compasses used by the US Army.

It's not the fastest compass; sometimes you have to wait for it to show the direction, but for this price it does its job and looks solid. The angle reading lens is clearly visible. A great choice for a first learning compass.

Finally, a solid compass. Folding and unfolding is simple, and the readings are clear. You just need a bit of patience at the beginning :)
