At first, there was a problem with the insert going out, but I managed to solve it. After lighting the carbon stick, you should leave the heater open for a few minutes until the carbon is glowing along about 2 cm. If you notice that the device is heating more weakly, it's a good idea to occasionally open the heater for a moment, so the carbon gets some air and burns more strongly. For me, one insert lasts about 5-6 hours of operation. I recommend this method.

The refills are easy to light, don’t have an annoying smell, so they’re not bothersome. They actually burn for about 5 hours, but can get so hot that I had to take the warmer out of my pocket not to get burned.

If you have a hand warmer, you’ll need these refills anyway, so I recommend always having some as spare. The charcoal sticks from this company work well and I’ve never had any problems with them. I recommend them.

In my opinion, they are average: half of the refills went out before they burned out fully. I’ll look for a more reliable solution.

You have to light them well—a jet flame lighter is very useful.
