Mil-Tec BW German Leather Flight Jacket - Black
A leather jacket with a fit reminiscent of the popular flyers-type flight jackets, based on the model worn by the Bundeswehr. The outer layer is made of 100% buffalo nappa leather, while the orange lining is made of polyester. The jacket is fastened with a two-way YKK zipper.
The German Leather Flight Jacket is equipped with two side pockets, an additional pocket located on the chest and a shoulder pocket. Each of them is zippered. Inside the jacket there are two additional pockets to carry handy accessories.
At the collar, on the wrists and at the waist there are knitted welts, which further protect against the cold and allow for a better fit. Slits have been placed under the armpits.
The inner part was made in a bright orange color scheme. This distinctive solution is related to the original purpose of this type of jacket for USAF pilots. In the event of a malfunction or shooting down, they had a better chance of being rescued by search services. Nowadays, this ingenious solution can come in handy, for example, when moving along the side of an unlit road outside a built-up area.
