A small emergency backpack for in between, without having to open the main backpack. Of course, it's simple, but I'd rather have something simple than nothing at all. It fits everywhere and that's what it's made for.
MFH Thermo Bivy bag - Olive
An ultra-lightweight bivy bag in olive green, made from lightweight yet durable polyester with an aluminium inner layer. It is an essential set element. It provides protection against rapid heat loss, insulation from the cold ground and protection against adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain or high temperatures. In addition to survival applications, it is ideal as extra insulation for a basic sleeping bag or as an emergency sleeping bag.
durable polyester, interior lined with a layer of aluminium
The bivy bag is made from high-quality polyester with water-repellent properties, which provides additional protection against moisture. Thermal comfort is enhanced by the interior, which is lined with a layer of aluminium that reflects natural body heat, preventing the body from becoming cold.
zipper, comfortable headrest
The model fastens with a two-way zip and is equipped with an additional seal designed to minimise heat loss, which enhances user comfort. The classic and simple design of the headrest allows for a good fit whilst resting and provides effective insulation against the cold.
transport cover, compact dimensions
The set includes a cover, which makes transport and storage easier. When folded, the model measures 18 by 9 cm and weighs just 240 g, allowing it to be easily placed in a backpack or bag pocket without adding excessive weight to your luggage.

A very practical product that reflects heat but does not accumulate it. During hot days, when turned inside out, it protects against the sun. In emergencies, it is better for sleeping than nothing or an NRC foil. I use it as an additional insulating layer to the main sleeping bag. It is small, light and practical.

The biggest advantage of this sleeping bag is its size, but in terms of insulation, it hardly protects against the cold at all. I tested it twice at around 10°C with a light wind and clothing – I didn't notice much difference whether I was in the sleeping bag or not. For very warm nights (above 20°C) it might be suitable, although I decided to buy a better sleeping bag.
-
I recommend this sleeping bag mainly because, when folded properly, it takes up very little space. As for warmth, it was sufficient for me, but that's an individual matter. Overall, I recommend it.

An interesting product, I admit I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but after a quick quality check it seems trustworthy. As a backup for a backpack on a trip to the mountains or to the forest, it's a very good choice because it's light and compact. The structure in the form of dots or small cubes gives hope that it is at least a bit breathable, unlike NRC sleeping bags. I actually swapped an NRC sleeping bag in my backpack for this model.
