MFH Softshell High Defence Jacket - Tarnanzug 03

Jacket in Tarnanzug 03 camouflage developed for use in changing weather conditions. The windproof, waterproof, and breathable construction and material with a waterproof rating of 8000 mm water column support protection against wind and precipitation while also helping to wick away moisture.

The practical pocket layout and velcro panels for attaching insignia make the Softshell High Defence suitable for field and duty use.

The outer layer is made from fabric containing 94% polyester and 6% elastane, while the lining is made of 100% polyester. The addition of elastane increases the material's stretch, which promotes freedom of movement. All zips are waterproof. The main front zip has a two-way design and is covered with a storm flap. In the upper section there is a chin guard that limits skin contact with the zip.

The model is equipped with 4 external pockets:

• 1 chest pocket closed with a zip
• 2 pockets with zips
• 1 pocket on each sleeve

On the inside of the jacket there are 2 additional chest pockets - one closed with a zip and the other with velcro. In the chest pocket and sleeve pockets there are elastic loops that help organise small carried pieces of equipment.

The sleeve pockets are equipped with velcro panels. An additional panel is placed on the right chest, while on the left side there is a vertical attachment for rank insignia, fastened with velcro.

The high collar can be adjusted using an internal drawstring with a cord lock. The same drawstring with a cord lock is also used at the waist, which allows adjustment of the jacket circumference.

Two-way ventilation zips under the arms allow airflow adjustment and help dissipate excess heat during intense exertion. 2 zips hidden in the side seams make it easier to access equipment carried on the belt.

The elbows are reinforced to increase wear resistance in areas particularly exposed to stress during work and movement in the field. The sleeves are finished with internal cuffs that fit closely around the wrists. The outer sleeve circumference can be adjusted using velcro fasteners.

Tarnanzug 03 camouflage, also often encountered as Flecktarn 03, is a pattern introduced in the Austrian armed forces at the beginning of the 21st century. It was created as a modernised version of classic German Flecktarn, adapted to the terrain conditions of Central Europe. It is characterised by a combination of irregular patches in different shades of green, brown, and black, which effectively break up the silhouette in forested and mixed landscapes.

Due to the similar natural environment, Tarnanzug 03 also performs well in Polish and Central European forests, offering effective camouflage during field, outdoor, or airsoft activities.
