MFH Scorpion Softshell Jacket - Black

The foam jacket is great for colder days and that's why I bought it. It is supposed to protect against cold and rain. The size shown in the table matches reality. I recommend it.

Great jacket – comfortable and practical. It effectively protects against rain and wind. I used it throughout autumn and spring. I’m satisfied with my purchase and I can recommend it.

The softshell is very well made, there are no flaws, and the zips work smoothly and reliably. An extra plus is the double main zip and the Teflon coating. I have already tested it in rain and the first snow in the Tatras – it keeps you warm and effectively protects against wind. Size L, ordered without checking the table, turned out to be perfect.

Everything matches the description. So far I have no comments, although the jacket has not yet been tested in the rain. The size is also consistent with the table. The only minor flaw is the rather delicate-looking hanger, but I do not expect it to break. For certainty, I suggest not hanging the jacket with heavy pockets.

I bought the jacket at the end of August 2021. It is well made, warm, and copes excellently with rain. Its breathability during activity (for example, when cycling) could be better, but thanks to the underarm and lower back vents, the functionality improves, though in my opinion, it could be even higher. Unfortunately, the Velcro on the cuffs is weak and over time loses its function completely.

The jacket is generally fine, although the workmanship could be better. The Velcro on the cuffs doesn't hold very well, and there are a few threads sticking out in some places, but overall the jacket doesn't fall apart. It's nice, but the quality could be a bit higher.

I am very pleased. After purchasing, I found out that the outer layer has a Teflon coating. The jacket really is waterproof and provides good protection against the wind. Initially, I chose the wrong size, but I have already exchanged it for the right one. I recommend buying a larger size so you can easily put a jumper underneath – the extra layer of air improves insulation. The only drawback is the elastic drawstrings at the sleeves, which are a bit annoying because of the Velcro. Rating 5/5.

The jacket turned out to be a much better purchase than I expected. It works perfectly during autumn and mild winters, and its waterproofness kept me almost dry even in heavy rain. I definitely recommend it.

This is the best Softshell jacket I have ever had. The workmanship is of a very high standard.

After exchanging for size L (178 cm, 80 kg, no belly), the sleeves became a bit too long and even fastening with Velcro didn’t help. They are also a bit too wide. The length of the jacket is fine. When you take the hood out from the collar, it sticks out at the sides and doesn’t fit closely to the back, and the collar is too bulgy when unfastened and gets in the way. The material is very high quality, slightly stiff, which I like. The pockets are practically arranged and have compartments inside. The package from Militaria did not crease the material during transport, as often happens with softshells.

Size M for 178 cm height and 80 kg turned out to be a bit too tight, although the sleeves were suitable. I exchanged it for an L. The material is pleasant to the touch, but the main zip worked rather stiffly.

With an additional liner, it can be used even in temperatures close to zero. Water beads up on the surface of the material. The jacket offers good wind protection. I chose a size that fits well across the shoulders and chest, but it could do with being a bit longer – it only covers to the waist.

Excellent quality, a premium class product. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s worth paying for such quality. I do not regret the purchase.

The jacket matches the description. It is light and comfortable. The front pockets are positioned a bit too high, which is bothersome if, like me, you often keep your hands in your pockets.
