The shoes in an olive colour combine the natural freedom of movement typical of a barefoot design with the protection needed in the field. The raised upper protects the foot and ankle, while the flexible construction does not restrict movement. The model is suitable for forest paths and mountain trails as well as everyday walks.

A waterproof membrane and leather upper help protect the feet from moisture and changing weather. The grippy Quantum Grip sole maintains stable contact with the ground on different surfaces.

The upper is made of waterproof suede leather. The upper also features mesh elements that increase the flexibility of the construction and support air circulation. The combination of leather and textile panels helps maintain a balance between protection and freedom of movement.

A waterproof membrane helps prevent water from getting inside. At the same time, it supports the release of some moisture that builds up inside the footwear. For this reason, the shoes are suitable for walks and hikes in the rain, on wet trails, and in damp vegetation.

The shoes were made in line with the principles of the Merrell Barefoot 2 design. The interior was designed so that the foot can assume a more natural position without forcing the heel to sit higher than the toes.

The sole has the same height at the front and back - 13 mm. This means that the heel is not positioned higher than the toes, which supports a more natural foot strike and makes it easier to control contact with the ground.

The wide front of the shoe gives the toes the space they need to rest freely while walking. This solution reduces the feeling of pressure and supports the natural movement of the foot on uneven terrain.

Grip is provided by the Merrell Quantum Grip rubber outsole. The rubber compound used and the trail-ready tread provide stable contact with the ground while walking on varied surfaces.

The multidirectional lug pattern supports traction on ascents, descents, and changes of direction while walking. The tread also limits contact between the foot and sharp ground elements, providing additional protection during hikes.

The sole is 13 mm high in both the front and rear sections, so it does not create a height difference between the heel and toes. In practice, this means the foot is not set on an inclined platform, as in classic footwear with a higher sole under the heel.

The inside of the shoe is lined with breathable mesh made from 100% recycled materials. The material supports moisture management during movement. The integrated EVA foam insole provides light cushioning and increases comfort when walking on hard ground. The insole cover is also made from recycled mesh.

The internal EVA construction was developed to reduce the weight of the footwear and provide a softer feel when stepping. The Cleansport NXT treatment supports the natural control of unpleasant odour buildup.

A classic lacing system with metal hooks in the upper part of the upper is responsible for the fit of the shoes. This solution makes the footwear easy to put on and take off and allows precise adjustment of lacing tension.
