Merrell MOAB Speed 2 MID GTX Boots - Brown

Great trainers for walks, travel, and light trails, especially when the weather isn’t completely dry. They fit securely on the foot, provide good support, and at the same time don’t feel as heavy as classic trekking boots. The sole grips reasonably well on dirt, wet grass, and asphalt. I liked that they have GTX, because walking in the rain or on a damp trail feels much more reassuring. The black colour is practical and goes easily with both outdoor clothing and regular trousers. For a very demanding hike with a large rucksack, I’d choose something stiffer, but for the city, travelling, and active outings, I liked them a lot.

Merrell is all about quality. They are comfortable and easy to wear. For autumn/spring in rainy weather, they are simply ideal. Very lightweight, and they fasten excellently with laces. The sizing is accurate. If you plan to use them in warm and dry weather, it is better to choose a model without Gore-Tex, because your feet will sweat more often. These shoes are definitely worth the money. I recommend them.

The shoes are indeed lightweight, just as the manufacturer claims, and at the same time very comfortable. I tested them for three days in the Bieszczady Mountains. The sizing is accurate, and they work well both in the city and on walks in the woods. However, it is worth choosing a larger size if you are planning mountain hikes, because when going downhill your toes may hit the front of the shoe, which causes discomfort and may even result in losing a toenail. At temperatures of around 20 degrees, they are comfortable to wear, but on warmer days it is better to go for a more breathable model without Gore-Tex, unless rain is forecast. The sole provides very good grip on both hard and loose ground.

I have been using the product for over a month now, so I can confidently say: the quality is at a high level. The size chart corresponds entirely to reality; it fit perfectly. The only nuance that spoiled the first impression was the packaging. The branded box was simply wrapped in transparent tape. Since the tape is directly stuck to the box, it spoils its appearance and makes it harder to open. I would like them to at least add a protective film or an outer bag in the future. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase, I recommend the product.

You are wonderful and high-quality comfortable shoes that perform quite well both outdoors and in the city. Made from good materials with a membrane, with a fairly aggressive tread that grips the surface well. Wonderful shoes.
