MOAB 3 MID is the successor to the acclaimed MOAB series. The model was developed for intensive use on the trail, and its character also proves itself in everyday wear.
waterproof upper made of leather and synthetic mesh
The upper is made from a combination of suede leather and breathable mesh. The suede increases the durability of the construction, while synthetic panels with a perforated structure support air circulation inside the footwear. The membrane used limits water penetration into the shoe while also allowing moisture to escape outside.
The mid-height upper provides additional support around the ankle. This solution helps maintain stability when walking over uneven terrain, rocky routes and forest paths. The profiled construction of the upper supports the foot without restricting freedom of movement.
Vibram TC5+ outsole
Traction is provided by the Vibram TC5+ outsole. The rubber compound used ensures grip on various types of surface. The tread depth is 5 mm.
The varied lug layout increases contact with the ground, supports stability on uneven surfaces and makes it easier to remove small stones and dirt from the outsole area. The tread pattern combines larger lugs in the heel and midfoot zones with more directional elements in the front part of the outsole.
Super Rebound Compound midsole
The middle part of the sole is made from Super Rebound Compound foam. The material is responsible for durable cushioning. The sole construction supports smooth foot rollover from the heel towards the midfoot.
A moulded nylon element supporting the arch of the foot has been placed in the central part of the construction. The combination of cushioning and stabilisation makes the shoes suitable for long distances and activities that require frequent negotiation of uneven terrain.
Merrell Air Cushion cushioning
The heel features Merrell Air Cushion technology. The air-cushioning system absorbs some of the shock generated when the foot contacts the ground and supports step stability.
This solution helps reduce the strain felt when walking on hard, rocky and uneven surfaces. Cushioning in the rear part of the sole supports a smooth transition from heel strike to the next phase of the step.

The inside of the shoe is finished with breathable mesh padding made from 100% recycled materials. Its structure supports airflow and helps reduce heat build-up during prolonged use.
