Merrell Accentor 4 GTX MID Shoes - Black/Firetail

Trekking shoes in Black/Firetail designed for hiking, trips, and everyday outdoor activities. The construction combines low weight with protection against moisture, stability, and cushioning that improves comfort while walking.

The upper is made from a combination of synthetic materials and fabric with a perforated structure. Numerous mesh panels support air circulation. The distinctive multilayer construction gives the footwear a sporty look while also providing additional protection in areas exposed to contact with the ground.

The upper combines durable synthetic materials with lightweight fabric featuring a perforated structure. Mesh panels are placed on the sides of the construction and around the midfoot area, supporting ventilation and limiting heat build-up inside the footwear.

Synthetic overlays create a system of stabilising straps running along the upper. They support the fit of the footwear, limit excessive foot movement, and increase the material's resistance to wear. The stitching used reinforces the connections between individual panels while also emphasising the model's trekking character.

A waterproof Gore-Tex membrane protects against moisture. It limits water penetration into the inside of the footwear, helping keep feet dry during rain, while walking on wet grass, or when moving along damp trails.

At the same time, the membrane maintains good breathability, allowing water vapour to be effectively released to the outside. The combination of waterproofness and breathability makes the shoes suitable for changing weather conditions.

The front of the shoe is protected by a raised rubber rand. It protects the toes from impacts and limits material wear during contact with stones, roots, and other obstacles encountered on the trail.

The rubber element extends onto the side parts of the front area of the footwear, increasing the level of protection in the area most exposed to contact with the ground. This solution works well both during off-road hikes and everyday walks on varied surfaces.

The outsole features a distinctly profiled tread with widely spaced elements. This layout increases contact with the ground and supports traction on varied surfaces.

Rubber lugs positioned at the front and rear of the outsole support stability during ascents and descents. The varied tread zones help maintain control of each step both on hard ground and on less regular trail sections.

The heel uses the Merrell Air Cushion system, which helps absorb shock generated while taking steps. This solution increases comfort on hard surfaces and supports stability when moving over uneven terrain.

The midsole made of EVA foam provides low weight and proper foot support. Its profile was developed to support comfort while walking, while maintaining the flexibility needed on the trail. Combined with the Merrell Air Cushion system, it translates into comfort during walks, trekking, and all-day trips.

The shoe construction uses a removable EVA foam insole. The material provides light, resilient support and helps increase walking comfort. The inside of the footwear is finished with a breathable lining made of mesh material, which supports air circulation inside the shoe.

The model is equipped with a classic lacing system with textile loops arranged along the upper. This layout makes it possible to precisely adjust lace tension to the shape of the foot and stabilises it inside the shoe while walking.

Selected footwear elements, such as the lining and insole, use materials made from recycled sources.
