The original Morale Patch is made of durable 500D Cordura. The tiger-eye-shaped elements of the patch have been covered with fluorescent glow-in-the-dark plastic . The emblem is designed to be attached to MOLLE webbing. It consists of three panels, which, after being threaded through the webbing, should be connected to each other with Velcro.
Morale patches are worn by soldiers and other services alongside patches specific to their own unit in order to "boost morale." They are a kind of identifying and unifying element of the group and are an element of soldier humor.
