When the temperature dropped below -10°C this winter, these trousers worked great – I didn't need to wear extra thermal underwear. The legs are a good length and width, and the insert protecting the kidneys is, in my opinion, a bit too high, but that doesn't bother me.

The trousers are extremely warm and comfortable, at times even too warm. I bought them with winter in mind and have no complaints, except that the breathability could be better. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend them.

The M-Tac Softshell Winter trousers are excellent, warm trousers at an affordable price. They performed well in the field even at -10 degrees. Importantly for me, I didn’t feel excessively hot in them, even when it was 0 degrees, so I didn’t overheat. That was important to me. I definitely recommend them.

Ordered for a road trip/trek in the United States in November, I had nothing to complain about. Size S was perfect with a thermal layer underneath. The comfort of movement was excellent. I didn’t feel the negative temperatures, despite the wind and snow. I recommend this product for its very good value for money!

The M-Tac Softshell Winter Trousers - Black are warm and durable winter trousers. The drawstrings at the bottom of the legs are useful in deep snow. The fleece lining provides comfort and warmth. Highly recommended!

The trousers are comfortable and seem to be durable and warm, but the size I chose was much too large. I followed the size chart and ordered XL, but in reality even L would have been too loose for me, and M would have been suitable. I recommend buying a size smaller than what you usually wear.

The trousers are made of very high-quality materials and provide excellent warmth – at -13 degrees they are more than enough without the need for extra underwear. You can sit or lie on snow or ice without worry; I use them during photo walks and they work perfectly. The only adjustment I would suggest is a side ventilation system, to make it easier to regulate temperature. Indoors, they get too warm immediately. I sincerely recommend them for truly cold days – as long as you don't plan on very intensive activity.

I hesitated for a long time before ordering these trousers, especially because of opinions about the sizes not matching. I bought size S, and I am 1.68 m tall and weigh 63 kg. They are fine at the waist but a bit long for me. They can be shortened, or you can simply fold them just as shown in the photos without a model. I only noticed this detail now, after I folded the trousers inside and the hem is no longer visible, just like in the first pictures on the website. I noticed that they look good like this too, and it might not be necessary to sew them to keep them fixed. I think you can also sew them, with a double hem, without cutting, so that the drawstring will appear at the bottom. In the photos that include the model, you can see that the trousers are also long for the model, even though they fit very well at the waist. Otherwise, the trousers are super okay, comfortable. Another aspect I read about here refers to the belt loops, which are indeed very large, especially the one at the back, and they don't secure the trousers well at the back, but this can be solved by sewing along the belt line, and it will become as narrow as needed, so that the belt stays fixed at the back. I only noticed these details after buying the trousers, and maybe this will help others to make a decision. Overall, I am satisfied; for this money, I find them more comfortable than other similar trousers from a sports brand, also size S, but those are tighter and have strange pockets.

These pants are warm, good workmanship for the price and somewhat close to the advertised size. The fabric is decently water and windprood and beltloops are decently large. However, for actual winter use they also have significant downsides that are impossible to ignore. First of all, the breathability is similar to that of a plastic bag. It just isn't there, which means during any kind of excercise(or just sitting indoors, stationary) you get really sweaty really fast. This leads me to believe the fabric has some sort of a membrane in it, even if the description doesn't mention it. Upper side and rear pockets are also open, with no possibility to close them, which means snow comes in and pocket contents go out in snowy conditions. I'll probably tape or sew these pockets shut if I keep using the pants. I'll keep the pair I have but wouldn't buy these again unless the breathability and pockets are addressed.

I bought the trousers to try them out and they turned out to be so warm that I could only wear them comfortably at around -5 degrees Celsius – at higher temperatures I was too hot, which indicates their excellent thermal properties. For this price, I bought two more pairs, including one for my dad. I highly recommend them!

High-quality winter trousers. I haven't tested them in heavy rain, but with the wet snow we get for several days, these trousers perform decently: it's dry and warm inside. Good quality fittings: the zips work smoothly even after 2 weeks, and the pockets are spacious. They are slightly longer at the back: so now there's less chance of getting your back cold with constant bending. For winter, in their price category, with such quality they have no competitors. Take them - you won't regret it.

The trousers are carefully made and provide wearing comfort. However, the downside is that the material is quite noisy and rustles, so people involved in nature photography or bird watchers may find them less suitable.
-
Very good trousers, they are comfortable and warm – they work great for me in use. I wear them on my bike when it's +2 degrees, and I don't need extra winter underwear (long johns). My work is also unusual, as I spend long hours at ice rinks during sports competitions – sometimes up to 16 hours a day, and in such conditions the trousers also prove themselves. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time I have bought these trousers. Thanks to the insulation, they are perfect for colder days – I have tested them both in the mountains and by the cold sea. I fully recommend them to everyone. It's just a pity that Helikon doesn't offer similar models.

Super warm! My son is happy, even though he has only worn them a couple of times because they are really very warm. Very comfortable and appropriately elastic. With long johns you could probably go to the Arctic in them!
