M-Tac Prismatic Compass - Olive

Compact, folding prismatic compass featuring a sturdy, metal case. Provides fast and accurate reading of world directions, determination of azimuths, and calculation of distances and sizes of objects. 

Functions of the bearing compass are made possible by the applied side scales (metric and inch measure), a sight with lens, front sight, rear sight, and a map compass. The compass is equipped with a level, which is responsible for the horizontal alignment of the compass, a hanging bracket and a thread for mounting the device on a tripod or theodolite.

The rotating dial of the compass is filled with an alcohol-infused liquid that prevents the liquid from freezing, dampens vibrations, and allows trouble-free reading of data while running or walking. A sapphire bearing is responsible for the precise rotation of the needle. Tables of angles and gradients have been applied to the underside of the compass to help the user with calculations.

Additionally, the compass is equipped with internal mirror, which makes it easier to read the values from the dial. 

Included is a nylon pouch with belt loop and a hanging rope.
