MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. Its aim was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to dynamically adapt to the background, adopting shades of green in woodland areas or browns and beiges in desert regions - particularly effective in Central and Eastern Europe during the autumn season and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained worldwide recognition and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the U.S. Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
