MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern crafted in 2002 by Crye Precision, a US-based company, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) for the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim was to develop a flexible camouflage pattern effective across diverse terrains and evolving environmental conditions. Composed of seven colors, the MultiCam pattern features gradient transitions that blend between green, brown, and beige hues. This enables it to adapt dynamically to its surroundings—displaying more green in forested regions or more brown and beige in desert settings. It's particularly effective in Central and Eastern European areas during autumn and among dry vegetation. Gaining international acclaim, MultiCam is employed by various armed forces and special operations units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the US Army for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also accessible to civilians, becoming a favored choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
