MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam, a modern camouflage pattern, created in 2002 by Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior programme. Its aim was to develop a universal camouflage pattern, effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. As a result, it adapts to backgrounds, adopting green shades in forested areas and browns and beiges in desert zones. In the Central and Eastern European environment, it is particularly effective in autumn and amidst dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained worldwide acceptance and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
