Levenhuk Trap LTE10 Trail Camera
Trail camera designed for automatic monitoring of forest areas, properties, farms, plots, and wild animal habitats. The device saves photos and videos after motion detection and, thanks to 4G connectivity, can send recorded material to the cloud and send notifications to a smartphone.
The model is suitable for nature observation, site surveying, and monitoring remote locations. The camouflage housing reduces the visibility of the device and makes discreet placement in the field easier.
housing, mounting, ip66 rating
The durable camouflage housing makes it easier to conceal the device among vegetation, branches, and forest floor cover. The design is equipped with mounting points and a nylon strap, allowing the camera to be attached to a tree, post, or another stable element.
The standard 1/4 inch thread also allows the device to be mounted on a compatible tripod or bracket. The front panel includes the lens, PIR sensor, and IR illumination elements. Hinges and the side closure make it easier to access the inside of the housing and the controls.
The housing meets the requirements of the IP66 protection rating. This means full protection against dust and resistance to strong water jets. The trail camera can operate in temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use in different seasons.
photo and video recording
The camera takes photos and records videos automatically after motion is detected by the PIR sensor. Available resolutions include up to 60 MP for photos and up to 1296p for videos, which means Super Full HD. Lower resolutions are also available to help reduce file size and increase the number of files that can be saved on the memory card.
The trail camera saves image files in JPG format and recordings in MP4 format. Each recording can be supplemented with a stamp containing the date, time, temperature, and moon phase. This data makes later analysis of the material easier and helps determine the conditions in which the recording was made.
The model supports operation in various recording modes:
- In burst photo mode, 1, 2, or 3 photos can be taken after a single motion detection.
- A video mode and a combined mode are also available, in which the camera takes a photo and records a video. The length of each individual video can be set within a range from 5 to 20 seconds.
- The time-lapse recording function allows photos or videos to be taken at specified time intervals - from 1 second to 24 hours. This mode does not require motion to be detected by the PIR sensor each time, making it well suited for documenting slow and long-lasting processes.
day and night image, wide field of view, fast response
During the day, the camera records a colour image. After dark, it automatically switches to black and white mode and activates infrared illumination with a wavelength of 850 nm. The IR illuminator has a range of up to 20 metres, allowing the device to record objects at a considerable distance even in complete darkness.
The minimum focusing distance is 1 metre in day mode, and the working range reaches 20 metres in standard sensitivity mode at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The 4 mm focal length lens provides a wide viewing angle of 120 degrees. This solution makes it possible to cover a large section of terrain and increases the chance of recording an object moving in front of the camera.
The trigger time is from 0.2 to 0.5 seconds. After motion is detected, the device quickly starts recording, which is important when observing animals, people, or vehicles moving through the monitored area.
PIR motion sensor
The trail camera uses a PIR sensor that reacts to motion and temperature changes within the field of view. Sensitivity can be adjusted to suit operating conditions by selecting one of 3 levels:
- high
- normal
- low
The adjustment allows you to limit the number of accidental activations or increase sensitivity when observing small and fast-moving objects. The interval between successive triggers can be set within a range from 5 seconds to 60 minutes.
4G transmission and remote access
Built-in support for the 4G network provides remote access to the camera and transfer of multimedia files. After inserting a SIM card and configuring the device in the TrailCam Go app, the user can receive photos and videos, manage settings, and use live view.
Files can be stored in the cloud, saved directly to a smartphone, or shared via email and messaging apps. Remote operation is especially useful when the camera has been mounted in a hard-to-reach location or on a remote property.
The included SIM card requires activation in the TrailCam Go app and selection of a subscription plan. It is also possible to use a SIM card from a local carrier. The camera can then operate without a subscription, and photos and videos will be saved to the microSD card.
sound recording, memory, loop recording
The built-in microphone records ambient sounds while videos are being captured. This makes it possible to obtain a more complete record of the observed situation and makes event identification easier. Video footage can contain both image and sound, allowing it to better document the activity of people, animals, or vehicles in the monitored area.
The device supports microSD memory cards with a capacity from 4 to 128 GB (not included). The available loop recording function allows the camera to operate continuously after the storage medium is full. The oldest files are then automatically replaced with new ones.
screen and operation
The camera is equipped with a colour LCD display with a 2-inch diagonal. It allows saved files to be viewed, settings to be changed, and device operation to be checked without the need to connect it to an external monitor.
The menu is available in 11 languages. It is also possible to set a 4-digit password to protect against unauthorised access to settings and saved files. A USB Type-C port is used to connect the device to a computer. The appropriate cable is included.
battery or mains power
The Levenhuk Trap LTE10 is powered by 8 AA batteries (not included). This solution works well during field use, away from the power grid. The device can also be powered by an external 6 V/1 A DC power supply. This option is useful during long-term monitoring carried out near a power source.
