Having already owned a Surge model (ultra-complete, but ultimately rather bulky), I was looking for a very compact and discreet model that combines the essentials: a good blade, a screwdriver with 4 bit options, and pliers. For me, that’s the daily essential. Admittedly, the pliers don’t compete with those on the Surge, but this Skeletool CX fulfils all its roles, with the finish and quality true to the brand. I’m completely won over by this little gem, which never leaves my side now. Moreover, after several orders on the Military.eu website, everything has always gone very well. Top quality and delivery times!

Multitool Leatherman Skeletool CX - OD Green
A multitool equipped with 7 full-size and most essential tools. The Skeletool CX model features a lightweight, compact design and a carabiner-style attachment that allows secure and convenient carrying when clipped to gear. The arms of the combos are coated with a hard DLC tungsten coating.
Clip-point profile head
The head with Clip-Point profile is made of 154CM stainless steel. The blade is opened via a thumbhole. In the open position, the knife is locked with the Liner Lock mechanism.
Steel construction, Steel clip
The tool's skeleton is made of stainless steel and heat-treated to give optimum hardness and strength. The tool comes complete with a removable spring clip allowing the model to be clipped to the edge of a pocket. The Skeletool CX model features a carabiner allowing the folded tool to be clipped to a rucksack or other items of gear. The carabiner arm contains a storage compartment with an additional bit.

I already have three skeleton knives in different colours, but this one is so unique that I couldn’t resist it. This tool works brilliantly for everyday use in the urban jungle. Very charismatic multitool, and in this limited Paradise colour it looks truly like a collector's item – it is a constant delight to the eye. The main feature of the CX version is a blade made from premium 154CM steel. Unlike the regular Skeletool, here the knife is plain-edged (without a serrator), and holds an edge brilliantly, doesn’t dull from every splinter, and cuts like a razor. The overall concept is excellent: nothing unnecessary, only what you really need every day – pliers, a great blade, a bit holder, and a carabiner-opener. The carbon insert slightly reduces weight, and you won’t feel it in your pocket at all. For heavy-duty tasks and repairing equipment, of course, it’s too light, as the skeletonised construction has its own strength limits. But as a stylish EDC tool for daily carry, to clip onto your jeans – it’s simply fantastic. Worth every penny.
