The Lansky Turn Box sharpener with diamond rods has perfectly solved my problem with sharpening knives. Previously, I used water stones and a diamond block with four grits, but for sharpening the Bestech Ivy with a Hawkbill blade, I was looking for something different. The Lansky is very easy to use and doesn’t need to be assembled like more complex sharpeners. Maintaining a constant angle is no trouble at all, and the diamond rods work excellently with cheaper steels like 14C28N, AEB-L, or Nitro V. Sharpening is fast and gives great results. I highly recommend this product.
The Lansky TB-2D2C sharpening system is a modernized version of the classic Turn Box, in which instead of two ceramic rods two diamond rods are placed. This solution makes it possible to perfectly bring out the cutting edge in a blunted blade anew. This is a very simple sharpening system that will find its use mainly at home.
The manufacturer of the sharpener is the Lansky company, appreciated worldwide for its professional products. The sharpener allows you to sharpen your knife to perfection in a simple way. This is made possible by two types of rods: for preliminary (diamond rods) and final sharpening (ceramic white rods). The wooden stand gives you the possibility to sharpen at angles of 20 and 25 degrees. Special holes allow you to conveniently hide the stones in the stand.
Diamond sharpeners are the most effective manual sharpening tools. Thanks to the diamond working layer, they efficiently grind highly hardened steel of any grade, and the metal base guarantees an even, flat surface for years of use.

Review summary
The Lansky sharpener receives glowing reviews for its efficiency, ease of use, and versatility. Users commend its intuitive system that allows for fast and accurate sharpening of a wide range of knives – kitchen, outdoor, folding, multi-tools, recurve blades, and hard steel. With two fixed sharpening angles (generally 20° and 25°) and a choice of ceramic or diamond rods, even beginners achieve excellent results. Compact and robust, the device is easily portable, and the rods maintain their condition even after years of intensive use. The system excels at restoring sharpness to very blunt blades, often achieving an edge suitable for shaving. Minor complaints about slight looseness in the rod holes or a tight fit do not compromise performance. The Lansky Turn Box offers great value and is highly recommended for both beginners and experienced users, proving practical and reliable for use at home or in the field.

A handy, compact sharpener. It works well both outdoors and for home use. It is easy to use, and you do not need much experience for it to do its job well. I sharpened kitchen knives with it, and my wife has already cut herself, so its effectiveness has been confirmed ;)

This is a very effective sharpening set. The diamond and ceramic stones allow for quick and precise restoration of sharpness, and the whole system is easy to use and feels secure in the hand. Outstanding quality!
-
Diamond and ceramic sharpener – for the average user, this is sufficient. High quality workmanship and easy to use. Unlike sharpeners with tungsten carbide, this one can sharpen a knife well without producing steel filings around.

The legendary product from Lansky is available in the store again! It's a must-have for every knife enthusiast. Easy to use and highly effective. I definitely recommend it!
-
Good for beginners, but I think it won't work well with very hard steels, as it is not made of diamond. I use it and am satisfied, especially for sharpening penknife-type knives.
-
Great sharpener, it contains everything you need to sharpen knives. I think the price is adequate and the quality-to-price ratio is very good. An excellent gift idea.
-
Excellent set! The diamond and ceramic stones work perfectly, the guides are very precise, and after just a few strokes, the knife is as good as new. Stable and easy to use – really great equipment!

Great sharpener. Until now, I have used cheaper models, but this one is a completely different league. Just a few strokes are enough to achieve a really sharp edge. It's true that, over time, small gaps may appear in the wood, so the angles won't be perfect, but as an amateur who just wants a working sharpness, it suits me very well. Additionally, the device looks simple, neat, and practical. For cleaning the rods, I recommend an ordinary eraser.

Great company, the sharpeners are of a high standard and the model is also very good. Two angles and two grades should be enough for most users and applications. You need to get used to the sharpener and spend a little bit of time with it, but the results are very satisfying. However, you need to be reasonable and careful when using it, as you can hurt yourself. Considering all these aspects, I give a rating of 5/5.

Quite a nice sharpener, although it's rather pricey. The build quality is very good, however. Great on a camping trip, but also at home.

It works well with various knives – kitchen, folders, and those for trips. Just a few strokes and if the edge isn’t very damaged, it’s ready to cut.
-
I give it 5 stars because, as an amateur, it meets all my needs. Simple yet clever design and ease of use make me happy to sharpen my knives with it. There is a slight looseness in the rod holes, so it's not always possible to keep the angle, but it's not a problem for me – the most important thing is that I can sharpen my tools quickly and effortlessly.
-
In my opinion, this is the best sharpener for quick knife touch-ups. It's quick to set up, always sets the same sharpening angle, and the blades don't get rounded or damaged like they sometimes do with plates.

The Lansky sharpener is a great tool for sharpening knives. I’ve been using it for some time and have to say it works brilliantly – my knives are very sharp again! The kit contains everything you need, so there’s no need to buy anything extra. It’s easy to use, even for people with no experience, and you see results very quickly. I recommend it to anyone who wants to easily take care of their knives.
