A durable and compact ferrocerium flint with a long lifespan of several thousand uses. With the help of a flint, you can light a gas stove, camping stove or a fire, which is a source of heat and allows you to prepare a meal away from home. It is perfect not only for camping, but also in emergency situations.
A ferrocerium firelighter works by rubbing the rod of the firelighter vigorously against the sharp edge of the flint. This causes the cerium in the rod to oxidise and ignite spontaneously. One flick of the flint produces sparks with a temperature of 3000°C, which, when applied to the prepared firelighter, will produce a flame even in severe frost or heavy rain.
The firelighter is perfect for any camping trip. Thanks to its small size, it fits in any trouser pocket or rucksack.

No problem getting sparks. The biggest advantage is the length of the firestarter, although not the entire surface is usable – the lanyard is placed in such a way that it gets in the way and actually reduces usability (even after it's removed, there's a hole left).

Good fire steel, but pay attention to the large size. I have already tested several different brands and this one does quite well. At this price it’s definitely worth buying. I recommend it.

I'm disappointed with the Hultafors firestarter. During use it turned out to be very brittle. It fell from a small height onto a stone and broke at the mounting hole. This type of equipment should be more durable, especially for outdoor conditions. Unfortunately, Hultafors did not meet my expectations in terms of solidity and reliability. I wouldn't recommend it to those looking for a durable and strong tool for lighting a fire.

This is really a very good firestarter, produces exceptionally strong sparks. It has a thick and large rod. A cotton pad caught fire immediately after one spark. I think it will perform well in the field.

I needed a thick rod and the Hultafors fully met my expectations. The previous one was much thinner and shorter, so I was not satisfied with it. I honestly recommend it.
