The trousers are great, they work well both at the shooting range and when working in the garden. However, I have one reservation – due to the high (22%) polyester content, the skin does not breathe during hot days. Apart from that, everything is fine.
Helikon-Tex UTP PolyCotton Rip-Stop Trousers - Navy Blue
Tactical UTP (Urban Tactical Trousers) made of high-quality PolyCotton RipStop fabric with elastane (60% cotton, 37% polyester, 3% elastane), which provides exceptional resistance to abrasions and tears. This fabric is lighter and dries faster than pure cotton, increasing comfort during use. The well-thought-out placement of multiple pockets makes this model perfect for urban environments as well as outdoor activities.
Combination of comfort and durability
A unique combination of military and civilian style – a discreet look combined with the functionality of combat trousers.
Modern cut, carefully planned seams, and high-quality fabric ensure great freedom of movement and durability.
12 practical pockets
This model offers twelve pockets, including:
- two classic hip pockets with reinforced edges,
- four thigh pockets (two spacious with zips and two narrower with Velcro),
- four back pockets (two wide with Velcro and two smaller ones inside the wide ones),
- two inner pockets near the groin, ideal for a tactical torch or spare magazine.
Additionally, knee-height pockets allow for protective pads.
Precise fit
Instead of a traditional button, a wide Velcro is used, allowing waist adjustment within a range of 6 cm. An elastic band sewn into the waist improves fit and enhances wearing comfort.
Two front belt loops have additional loops that can be used to attach a carabiner, for example.

Very comfortable, incredibly durable and spacious. Rip-Stop works great outdoors, and this colour doesn’t draw attention in the city. The pockets have been perfectly planned, so everything is easily accessible.
-
Helikon UTP trousers are excellent tactical trousers. They are extremely comfortable, fit great, and have a fantastic pocket layout. The material is highly durable. I definitely recommend them.
-
Comfortable trousers for everyday wear and active use. The PolyCotton Rip-Stop fabric is dense, holds its shape well and is not afraid of small snags. The fit is comfortable, nothing presses or restricts movement even during long walks or when working on your knees. I really liked the pocket placement – everything is at hand, but the trousers do not look overloaded. The Ash Grey colour is practical and looks neat both in the city and on trips. After washing, the shape remained good. The only downside – in summer, during extreme heat, they can be a bit hot.
-
Trousers worth recommending – they are lightweight, well made and have lots of pockets, the arrangement and size of which are almost perfect (at least in my opinion). I’ll find out about their durability over time, but so far, after a few washes and weeks of use, I have no complaints.
-
Comfortable, good movement with minimal restrictions (used +1X size than normal), even with pistol CC. Pockets are spacious and accessible, sufficient for EDC and even service needs. Quite durable despite hard use in month-length period.
-
The trousers are nice and comfortable, but there are questions about the quality—maybe I just got a faulty pair, but after the first wash, a hole appeared in the trousers. Otherwise, the trousers are good and match the size.
-
I believe these are some of the highest-rated trousers from Helikon-Tex. They are very practical for everyday use thanks to the many pockets and sturdy construction. I definitely recommend them!
-
I could wear these trousers every day. They are very comfortable, fit great and are convenient. The pockets are practical for everyday use and are suitable for the city, while not standing out with a military style. For me, the only downside is that the legs are too wide, but after narrowing them a bit, the trousers are perfect.

The trousers are fine. The size chart matches. Overall, I prefer Stormstretch more, but the advantages of these are: thanks to the elastic and Velcro, you never need to unfasten them. And the narrow pockets on the legs are just right for not too wide smartphones.
-
I have tested many Helikon UTP trousers, including the short ones – I was always satisfied with them. Now my brother will enjoy their comfort and quality, as he immediately ordered two pairs. I definitely recommend them.

I own several pairs of UTP Rip-stop or canvas trousers from Helikon and I am very satisfied with them, so much so that my brother also wanted to have them and I immediately ordered him two pairs. I truly recommend them.

The trousers are very practical. The fabric is durable, the rip-stop doesn't mind small snags. There are lots of pockets and they are genuinely convenient – phone, knife, keys, small tools all fit properly. The Shadow Grey colour looks calm and doesn't stand out in the city. With the included belt, the set is good, you can wear them right away. But if you stuff the pockets to the brim, the trousers become noticeably heavier. And in hot weather, they can be warm, as the fabric isn't the thinnest.
-
The trousers are very comfortable, have the typical Helikon pocket layout, stretch slightly and do not cause chafing. Unfortunately, the material wears out quickly – after just two weeks, the edges of the pockets turned white. However, this is the only drawback.
-
UTP trousers in the casual version offer full practicality thanks to the number and arrangement of pockets. They are more tailored and fit the figure better, and the elastic material does not restrict movement. Thanks to the 'blue jeans' colour, they do not stand out and are perfect for everyday city use. DISADVANTAGES: On warmer days, they might be too warm, as the material is not very breathable. The fabric is also softer than UTP Canvas – it pills and snags more easily, so I wouldn't recommend them for typical outdoor use.
