When buying this jacket, it’s worth being aware that the priority here was minimal weight and a compact size, with no unnecessary compromises. The finishing is solid, but when it’s very tightly compressed into its pocket, the seams may raise some concerns about whether they’ll hold over time. The material is thin and requires gentle handling, although it doesn’t seem low quality. The hood fits the head well and the zip goes up to the nose. The jacket has a rather loose fit and is quite long. The cuffs at the sleeves are relatively narrow compared to their width, but still fit almost perfectly at the wrists. During intense physical activity, it’s easy to get hot inside. There are many comparisons of the Tramontane model with the Windrunner from Helikon to be found online. The jacket offers excellent wind protection and withstands light drizzle (to a certain extent). For better thermal comfort, I recommend wearing an additional, even thin, sweatshirt underneath.

Windpack Nylon fabric, DWR hydrophobic coating
Made of extremely lightweight nylon WindPack material with a dense weave, which effectively protects against the wind and minimizes heat loss. The fabric is coated with a DWR coating (Durable Water Repellency) that repels water, limits moisture and dirt absorption, and protects against light rain.
YKK zippers, self-pack

My first impressions: the jacket is extremely lightweight, and although the material is thin, it doesn’t feel as delicate as I expected, which I see as an advantage. It’s easy to compress it into a small pouch, but it arrives carefully folded on a piece of cardboard and wrapped in plastic. The Tiger Stripe camouflage looks really good in real life and matches many outfits. The jacket is fairly long and the sleeves are the right length.

The Tramontante jacket is very lightweight, easy to pack into a pocket, and fits perfectly. It's carefully made, protects against light rain, and provides warmth during cool evenings. You can take it anywhere; you barely feel its weight. At my height of 183 cm and weight of 78 kg, size M fits perfectly, even with an extra layer underneath. The Taiga Green colour looks fantastic in real life. Size L would be too loose for me. I definitely recommend it.

I already bought the Windrunner here in Alpha Green and was able to test this great piece in the woods. When it’s windy and you’re sitting still, it also feels unpleasantly cool there. I’ve now also ordered the Tramontane in Flecktarn. It packs down even smaller, but unfortunately it doesn’t offer as many pockets as the Windrunner. On the other hand, you can pull it on over normal clothing more quickly and then you’re camouflaged too! Size L is enough for me at 183 cm, fits well over a T-shirt and jacket or a fleece jumper. There’s nothing more that needs to be said here about the quality, and there’s no need to talk about shipping from military.eu either — it’s always fast anyway, as long as DHL does its part.

I bought it in the sale, and it’s absolutely brilliant and such a great find!! It weighs nothing, folds into a pocket, and it’s a very nice windbreaker))) I usually wear size M, but I got S so it wouldn’t look baggy on me, and it fitted perfectly for my height of 171 cm and weight up to 80 kg. For cycling and walks by the sea, in windy or cloudy weather, it’s exactly what you need. The Woodland Panther colour is awesome! If there are more discounts, I’ll buy another one! It’s a must-have for everyone))) Great item, but in the woods where there are lots of branches, or if you smoke, be careful with the product. I'm normally size L, so I bought this in size L and it's a perfect fit when worn over a t-shirt or a longsleeved shirt. It's really thin but it blocks the wind enough while you're on the move or helps to maintain warmth when you stop briefly. Packs REALLY small, easy to take it with you everywhere just in case.

I am very happy with the quality and the fact it can be packed to a very small size. I now own multiple versions of this with PL Woodland being my latest camo which is a good camo for English woodlands. My only complaint is why there is a bright white logo on the jacket which seems like a massive oversight on what is otherwise an excellent jacket.
