Helikon-Tex Cargo Shorts - ERDL

Cargo-style shorts in ERDL camouflage, designed for intensive use and convenient organisation of carried equipment. The carefully designed construction ensures full freedom of movement, while the expanded pocket system allows for convenient arrangement of essential items and quick access to them.

Model made from durable PolyCotton Stretch fabric, reinforced with Rip-Stop weave. The thoughtful design and materials used ensure adequate mobility and comfort for moving in varied terrain and urban conditions.

The shorts are made from robust PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop material with a 220 g/m2 grammage. The combination of polyester and cotton provides high durability and breathability, increasing wearing comfort in higher temperatures and during intense activity. The use of synthetic fibres shortens the drying time of the fabric after contact with water or sweat. The addition of elastane ensures fabric stretchability, enhancing freedom of movement.

The use of Rip-Stop weave improves the material's structure, reducing the risk of possible abrasions or mechanical damage caused by intensive use. The characteristic fibre grid increases the fabric's tear resistance and improves its durability, which is particularly important when wearing shorts in more challenging terrain conditions.

The model is equipped with 8 pockets, allowing for convenient placement of handy accessories:

• 2 classic hip pockets
• 2 rear pockets with flap closure secured by Velcro
• 4 cargo pockets (2 on each thigh - smaller front and larger rear)

All cargo pockets are fitted with Velcro flap closures, which reduce the risk of accidental item ejection during movement. Additionally, side pleats have been used to increase pocket capacity for transporting larger items.

The shorts are equipped with wide belt loops, compatible with belts up to 50 mm wide. Their durable construction ensures stable equipment retention at the hips, even when carrying heavier accessories.

The ERDL (Engineer Research and Development Laboratory) camouflage was developed in 1948 by an American research laboratory. It did not come into wide use until the 1960s, during the Vietnam War, mainly among special and reconnaissance units. It was on its basis that later designs, such as the Woodland and M81, known around the world today, were developed. The green-brown camouflage palette works well in dense vegetation, European deciduous forests, thickets and mixed woodlands.
