Fjord Nansen Svalbard 510 Duck Hydro MID Sleeping Bag 825 g - left
An ultralight mummy-shaped model that provides an optimal fit and freedom of movement during sleep. Made of durable nylon with a durable outer layer and filled with duck down.
Temperature ratings and usage conditions
The temperatures for using the Svalbard sleeping bag are determined in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 0 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably throughout the night,
- T-limit: -6 deg. C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -24 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which you can survive in the sleeping bag. This is not the recommended value for standard use.
10D Rip-Stop nylon with Water Repellent coating
Both the outer and inner layers are made of lightweight 10D nylon using Rip-Stop technology, covered with a WR (Water Repellent) coating that limits moisture penetration. The interior includes a pocket for small items and loops for attaching an additional insulating liner.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Thermal comfort is provided by a blend of down and duck feathers in a ratio of 92/8 of European origin. The 800 cuin loft translates into a high level of compression, which makes packing easier. In addition, the down is protected by a water-repellent coating. H-shaped chambers prevent the filling from shifting and clumping. The shark fin-shaped footbox corresponds to the anatomical shape of the feet, improving thermal comfort and minimizing pressure. The bottom is sewn at a 70-deg. angle.
Left-side zip, Anti-Bite system
The two-way zip on the left side allows for complete opening at both ends, making it easy to get in and out. The fluorescent puller makes it easy to use the zip in the dark. The Anti-Bite system protects the fabric from being cut by the zip. On the inside, the zip is covered with a thermal strip. It can be connected to another model from the same series.
Integrated hood, DUO drawcord, thermal collar
The 3D hood effectively protects the head from heat loss and adverse weather conditions. The Duo drawcord, combining an elastic band with a strap, allows for swift adjustments - the elastic near the neck permits hand movement without loosening the hood, while the rear strap offers precise adjustments. The thermal collar, a down-filled tube with a drawcord situated at shoulder level, prevents cold air from entering, increasing thermal insulation.
Convenient transport and storage
The compact design makes it easy to transport and store. When packed, the sleeping bag measures 36 x 19 cm and weighs only 825 g, so it doesn't weigh you down in the field.
Set elements
The set includes a functional cover that protects the sleeping bag from damage and dirt during transport.
