Ultralight mummy-style design offers an ideal body contour fit and promotes ease of movement while sleeping. Constructed from durable nylon, featuring a sturdy outer layer and filled with duck down.
Temperature ratings and usage conditions
Svalbard sleeping bag temperature ratings comply with the EN 13537 standard:
- T-comfort: 0 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably throughout the night,
- T-limit: -6 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort all night long,
- T-extreme: -24 C – the lowest temperature where survival is possible. Not advisable for regular use.
10D Rip-Stop nylon with Water Repellent coating
Both the exterior and interior layers are crafted from lightweight 10D nylon utilizing Rip-Stop technology, featuring a hydrophobic WR coating (Water Repellent) designed to minimize moisture infiltration. Inside, there is a small pocket for essentials along with loops for securing an extra insulating liner.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Thermal comfort is guaranteed by a blend of European duck down and feathers in a 92/8 ratio. With a 800 cuin loft, it offers excellent compressibility for easier packing. The down is safeguarded with a hydrophobic coating. H-shaped baffles ensure the filling stays in place, preventing shifts and clumps. The shark fin-shaped footbox aligns with the natural position of the feet, enhancing thermal comfort and minimizing pressure. The bottom is stitched at a 70-degree angle.
Left-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The two-way zipper is located on the left side and allows for complete opening from either end, simplifying both entry and exit. A fluorescent puller makes it easy to use in low-light conditions. The Anti-Bite system prevents the fabric from being snagged in the zipper. A thermal flap protects the inside of the zipper. This model can be connected with another sleeping bag from the same series.
Integrated hood, DUO drawcord, thermal collar
The 3D hood efficiently safeguards the head against heat loss and harsh weather. The Duo drawcord, merging an elastic band with a strap, allows for swift adjustments—the elastic near the neck permits hand movement without loosening the hood, while the rear strap offers precise adjustments. The thermal collar, a down-filled tube with a drawcord situated at shoulder level, prevents cold air from entering, bolstering thermal insulation.
