Direct Action Vanguard Over-Shell Trousers - MultiCam

The MultiCam camouflage trousers were developed as an outer protective layer for changing weather conditions. They can be worn over other trousers or – depending on the situation and needs – directly over a thermal base layer. They are made from durable nylon, with reinforcements made of Cordura 330D in high-wear areas.

The design uses a 3L membrane with a waterproof rating of 25,000 mm water column and breathability of 15,000 g/m2/24 h, which supports protection against precipitation while also helping moisture vapour escape to the outside. A pocket serving as a self-pack allows the trousers to be packed down to a compact size.

durable nylon, membrane, Cordura 330D reinforcements

The trousers are made of nylon with a grammage of 135 g/m2 and equipped with a 3L membrane that provides a waterproof rating of 25,000 mm water column and breathability of 15,000 g/m2/24 h. The main fabric forms a lightweight outer layer that protects against rain and is designed to be worn over other trousers or a thermal base layer.

Reinforcements made of Cordura 330D have been placed in areas exposed to frequent contact with the ground and abrasion. The panels are located on the knees, seat, and the inner side of the lower leg sections, increasing the resistance of these areas to scuffing and wear during field use.

Full-length leg zips

Two-way, splash-resistant zips run along the legs. Full-length opening makes it easier to put the trousers on and take them off quickly, even while wearing boots. This solution also allows access to the pockets of clothing worn underneath without removing the outer layer.

The two-way zips allow adjustment of the zip opening range. Depending on how far they are opened, airflow can be increased or access can be gained to a selected section of the trousers. The design is completed with buckles and snaps.

Adjustable waist, elastic braces

The waist with a belt and buckle allows waist adjustment and lets the trousers be fitted over the layers worn underneath. Anti-slip material placed on the inside of the waist limits shifting during movement, including when the trousers are worn over other trousers or a thermal base layer.

The design is complemented by elastic braces in a 2-point configuration. The brace length can be adjusted to the body, and attachment using G-hook hooks streamlines fastening and unfastening. The elastic construction allows the braces to move with the body and helps keep the trousers in the proper position.

Self-pack pocket - easy transport and storage

The model is equipped with a self-pack pocket into which the trousers can be stowed after folding. This solution makes transport and storage easier when they are not in use, and also allows you to conveniently take them with you as extra protection in case the weather worsens.

multicam camouflage

MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior programme. Its goal was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective across varied terrain and changing environmental conditions.

The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours that create gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. Thanks to this, it dynamically adapts to the background, taking on green tones in wooded terrain or brown and beige tones in desert regions - in the environment of Central and Eastern Europe, it works particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained worldwide recognition and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military surplus and airsoft enthusiasts.
