MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is a modern camo pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim was to create a versatile camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions.
The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to dynamically adapt to its surroundings, taking on green shades in forested areas or brown and beige in desert regions — effectively operating in Central and Eastern Europe during the autumn period and in dry terrain. MultiCam has gained global recognition and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available for civilian users, making it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
