MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. The goal was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions.
The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors that create gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to dynamically adapt to the environment, taking on green tones in forested areas or brown and beige in desert regions — in Central and Eastern Europe, it works effectively in the autumn and in dry terrain. MultiCam has gained global recognition and is used by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the U.S. Army as a camouflage pattern for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available for civilian users, making it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
