Great equipment, worth its price. It has the right size. The only downside is the lens caps, which are hard to put on and often get lost because they're awkwardly attached.
The 10x50 model is a binocular with classic parameters, liked by a wide range of nature observers. Its universal features allow comfortable observation both during the day and at night.
This binocular is a compromise between obtaining high magnification and a wide field of view. At the same time, it provides high surface brightness. As in the entire Delta Optical Forest II series , the optical system of the binoculars consists of 8 elements arranged in 6 groups, and the design uses high-quality prisms made of BaK4 glass.
The binoculars are coated with phase coatings and silver, providing an extremely sharp and bright image. In tandem with the prisms, all lenses on Forest II models have high-quality anti-reflection coatings. Thanks to them, the binoculars feature high light transmission and neutral image colors. Well-etched interiors of the tubes prevent unwanted reflections and so-called ghosting from appearing in the image.
All Forest II series binoculars have a smooth-moving central focusing knob and individual diopter correction in the right eyepiece. The plastic eyepiece cups ( Twist-Up type) slide out, allowing the binoculars' eyepieces to be comfortably adjusted to the observer's individual needs.
Forest II series binoculars can withstand even the harshest weather conditions. Their sealed housing allows them to be used freely in wet terrain and even in the rain. Forest II binoculars can withstand immersion in water for 3 minutes, up to a depth of 1 meter, and filling the design with nitrogen gas prevents the lenses from fogging up.
They are an ideal compromise between small binoculars of the 42mm class and much larger and heavier models with 56-63mm lenses. Despite the great versatility offered by the 50-mm objective lens, the new Forest II models have been differentiated in terms of magnification so that you can choose the right parameters for your needs.
