I've been handling optics since the early 1980's when I was still only a child Camera equipment, Binoculars & all manner of Telecopes & I can say without a shadow of a doubt the optics on these blow the competition out of the water They have a wide field of view & bright exceptionally sharp image. My Dad had a pair of Tasco 16x50, they must have been lying about the specs because things are more magnified even though they are 12x50 You won't need to look any further! To sum it up in one word (Exceptional!!!)
Delta Optical Forest Gen3 Binoculars 12x50
Binoculars with a 50 mm objective lens diameter and fixed 12x magnification, belonging to the third generation of models in the Forest series. The design is based on a roof-mounted BaK4 prism system with phase correction, ED glass lenses, and FBMC multilayer anti-reflective coatings. Large objective lenses, a twilight factor of 24.5, and a nitrogen-filled housing made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy make this model especially suitable for observing distant objects, nature, landscapes, and open areas.
ergonomic housing with a rubber coating, waterproof construction
The binocular body is made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy and built around a compact Roof design, which helps maintain a slim profile. The interpupillary distance range is 57-76 mm. The housing is covered with a soft rubber coating with a non-slip texture, providing protection and shock absorption. The design uses a convenient central focusing mechanism, allowing quick switching from observing nearby objects to targets at long distances.
Twist-up eyecups increase user comfort and make it easier to maintain the correct eye position relative to the eyepiece. The dioptre adjustment in the right eyepiece allows precise image adjustment to the observer's individual needs. The design includes a standard 1/4" tripod thread, allowing mounting on a tripod using a suitable binocular adapter. The model is waterproof to IPX7 standard and equipped with nitrogen filling to protect against fogging, allowing observation even in unfavourable weather.
BaK-4 prisms, ED lenses, FBMC coating
The objective lenses are made of ED glass. This material is used to reduce chromatic aberration, meaning coloured fringes visible on high-contrast edges. This results in a clearer image and more faithful colour reproduction of the observed objects.
The model uses an optical system based on BaK-4 prisms made of barium crown glass. They feature a high refractive index, making it possible to achieve a sharp, bright, and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. Due to good light transmission, prisms of this type perform particularly well in low-light conditions. The lenses and eyepieces are coated with multilayer FBMC anti-reflective coatings, which limit light loss and reduce unwanted reflections. As a result, the image is characterised by high contrast, natural colour reproduction, and better clarity.
The exit pupil has a diameter of 4.2 mm, and the twilight factor is 24.5. The higher twilight performance resulting from 12x magnification increases comfort when observing distant objects in fading light. The angular field of view is 5.3 degrees, corresponding to a field of view of 93 m at a distance of 1000 m.
case included
The set includes a case made of durable synthetic material with increased resistance to abrasion and moisture, providing effective protection for the binoculars during transport and storage. Additionally, the binoculars are equipped with an adjustable neck strap for comfortable and secure carrying during field observation.

Delta Optical is a European company established in 1989 on the initiative of optics enthusiasts. It is now one of the main manufacturers of binoculars and telescopes in Europe, and its equipment is used by travellers, hunters, astronomers and TOPR mountain rescuers. The brand works with renowned partners such as Pulsar, Pentax and William Optics, offering a wide selection of devices valued by both professionals and enthusiasts of nature and sky observation. Delta Optical continually improves its products, implementing innovations that increase precision and ease of use. Telescopes from this brand have been used many times during organised public astronomy shows. Thanks to the company's commitment, thousands of people have had the opportunity to see Saturn's rings or details of the Moon's surface for the first time.
