Craghoppers is a British brand specialising in outdoor clothing, established in 1965 in Batley on the initiative of Brian Gaskin and Roy Holmes. A breakthrough moment for the company was Chris Bonington's Mount Everest expedition in 1975, during which the team used its clothing, significantly strengthening the brand's position. In 1996, Kiwi trousers were introduced to the range and quickly gained iconic status. More than 10 million pairs have been sold over the years. Craghoppers became known for technological solutions such as the waterproof AquaDry membrane, quick-drying Wash & Wear fabrics, SolarShield sun protection and the NosiLife line, the world's first clothing collection with permanent anti-insect treatment. Since 2006, the brand has worked with Bear Grylls, designing clothing tested in extreme conditions, including Survivor trousers and lightweight jackets and shirts resistant to water and dirt. Craghoppers is also involved in environmental action, supporting the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and using innovative CO₂Renu recycling technologies and NewHide tanning processes, which significantly reduce water consumption.
