Excellent binoculars that work very well for both a child and an adult. I am genuinely very pleasantly surprised by them. I was looking for a model that would be a sensible choice for both age groups, and the Bushnell PowerView 2 8x21 met those expectations. The binoculars are solidly made, while also being compact and lightweight, which is why I take them on every trip. The finish could be better if you look closely. However, if you overlook that, the product is quite all right. You can't see it in the photos, but it folds compactly and fits in your hand, so you can always have it at hand in your pocket. It can't match the quality of larger versions, but it's a reasonable compromise – with a full backpack it's more convenient to have such a lightweight accessory than heavy, kilogram equipment. :)

Nice and lightweight binoculars, but 16x magnification is a bit too much for city walks – with that kind of zoom you need to stabilise them well to keep the image from shaking. Additionally, the 32 mm objective lens does not provide a very bright image at this level of magnification, so it might be dark in the evenings.
