Bushnell PowerView 12x42 binoculars

I ordered online (because of the convenient return) after a long and frustrating review of binocular forums. I wanted something almost impossible: a compact, tourist binocular with high magnification (I like gadgets, previously I had a Russian 8x30), but at a reasonable price. The binoculars arrived, I picked them up in the evening. The opinions suggested I would not be satisfied, but even then it positively surprised me. Another test in the morning. I am not going to return it! I am very satisfied. A few observations: + magnification is really significant + I haven't tested it in complete darkness, but at dusk in the city, it works well + very compact, though it does have some weight - it's a typically compact binocular – ideal for observing details, not for wide panoramas. For someone who wants to see, for example, an entire battle reenactment, you'll rather see just a fragment, but you will notice details, for example, moustaches under a visor. - 12x magnification can be challenging to hold, though it’s possible to keep it steady. I watched a plane take off and had no problem keeping it in view, but you do need to hold it well or use support. Due to the focused nature of the observations, sometimes it's difficult to quickly spot an object in the sky. To sum up: I am very satisfied, the forums were needlessly warning that it's a "Chinese product with a well-known company's logo" – it's really not bad at all. And one more note: I am just a beginner amateur and don't have much experience xD

Bought with universal use in mind, mainly for day-time observation. I am very satisfied, although I don't have the opportunity to compare it to other models. In my opinion, the image is clear, without distortion or inaccuracies. The binoculars are very practical, have compact dimensions, and the price to quality ratio is very good.

The product matches the description, the quality is adequate for the price. The binoculars are quite light and comfortable to carry with the included strap. The rubber eye-piece covers are attached to the strap, and the lens covers are attached to the binocular body, making them hard to lose. The lenses work well for daytime observations – they give a sharp and clear image without distortion. I do not recommend them for night observations, as the image is too dark.

Binoculars in this price range are really of good quality.
