Blackfire TCW UCP Masking Tape
Flexible, reusable self-adhesive masking tape in UPC camouflage. Designed to camouflage binoculars, cameras, tripods, tools, and other outdoor equipment. Reduces light reflection and leaves no adhesive residue. It can be easily cut to size and, thanks to its versatility, is suitable for many applications.
Matte texture and versatility
The matte, fibrous surface of the tape effectively covers the elements wrapped with it, eliminating light reflections and dampening the sounds produced by metal parts striking each other. Thanks to its self-adhesive properties, it does not require the use of additional glue or other fastening methods. The camouflage pattern distorts and blurs the contours of the masked object. The tape can also be used to protect cold metal surfaces from direct contact.

UCP Camouflage
UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.

I used the tape to camouflage a tripod and a Nikkor 200-500mm lens. It sticks well to surfaces, is easy to remove and doesn't leave any marks. You can easily cut it into narrower strips, which makes it easier to camouflage rings. You can also cut holes into it to keep buttons and moving parts visible.

The tape sticks perfectly to itself but does not adhere strongly to the masked object. It's great for masking in tall grass. Over time, it fades slightly, but I only noticed this when applying a fresh piece on an already covered area – a normal occurrence.
