Berghaus Tactical Pugio Backpack 28 l - Olive
A tactical backpack with a capacity of 28 litres in Olive from the Pugio series. This model has been designed for modularity and extensive options for personalising your equipment to suit your requirements. Rigid walls and an internal frame give the backpack a boxy structure and enable full opening after unzipping. This type of construction significantly simplifies gear organisation and provides direct access to your contents – ideal for both tactical and outdoor use. Made with durable 500D polyamide with double Rip-Stop weave. An RFID layer placed between the outer shell and the lining increases security when travelling and in urban environments. The Pugio 28 stands out with a removable hip belt that can be stowed in a dedicated compartment at the bottom of the rear panel.
500D polyamide with double Rip-Stop weave offers high resistance to damage
500D polyamide double Rip-Stop has been used, providing excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The double Rip-Stop weave reinforces the material, effectively reducing the risk of tears – even during intense use in challenging outdoor conditions. Additionally, the fabric is lightweight and resistant to moisture and dirt.
Modular storage space and option to fully open the main compartment
The main compartment is secured with a zip, allowing the backpack to open widely for easier organisation and rapid access to your kit. The interior is equipped with Velcro panels for fitting compatible pockets and accessories, so you can customise the internal layout. The box-shaped design prevents the material from collapsing, making gear management more efficient. Inside the main compartment there is a small zipped pocket. The RFID layer between the outer fabric and lining (except for the front pocket) provides improved protection for contactless card data. The front zipped pocket forms a separate organisational section for smaller items. The Pugio 28 also features two large zipped side pockets and an elastic phone pocket sewn onto the shoulder strap for quick device access. There is a carabiner inside the main compartment for attaching a hydration system water tank with a capacity of up to 3 litres. A dedicated compartment at the bottom of the rear panel is designed for carrying the detachable hip belt.
Elastic shock cord and velcro panel on the front of the backpack
Elastic shock cord has been installed at the top of the front panel, threaded through fabric loops, providing a convenient way to secure light equipment on the outside of the backpack. The velcro panel on the front lets you attach various badges and patches.
Nylon frame, adjustable shoulder strap system, carry handle, detachable hip belt
The carrying system is based on ergonomic, adjustable shoulder straps for precise length adjustment and even weight distribution. The straps are designed for maximum stability and comfort, reducing backpack movement when walking. The padded rear panel with central ventilation channel improves cushioning and ensures high comfort, even during extended use. An internal nylon frame is an integral part of the construction, maintaining the backpack's shape and rigidity. The frame keeps the load stable regardless of how full the backpack is, supporting safe carrying of heavier gear.
Additional stability is provided by reinforced, rigid panels and an adjustable chest strap with composite buckle, which can be height adjusted. There is a carry handle at the top of the backpack. The hip belt is detachable and partially padded for added comfort, relieving the shoulders and spreading the load more evenly across the hips, ensuring the carrying system stays stable. The Bergbuckle closure allows for quick, quiet and secure fastening of the belt.

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.
Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.
