The antenna was installed on a Baofeng UV-5R HTQ radio. It is sturdy and hard to break, which makes it seem very durable. I haven't tested it while transmitting, but reception has definitely improved.

Antenna designed for Baofeng UV-5R, UV-82 and UV8-HX radios, made of flexible metal strips covered with a protective rubber layer, which ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage.
It significantly improves signal transmission and reception range. Thanks to its wideband SMA-F connector, the antenna is fully compatible with the mentioned device models.
Although it is 50 cm long, the flexible design allows it to be conveniently bent, making it easy to store and transport. The set includes a fabric Velcro that allows the folded antenna to be clipped together and secured while carrying it.

I don't have much experience with this type of equipment, so it's hard for me to assess the actual impact of the antenna on range, but it looks solid, assembles easily and so far nothing has been damaged. I recommend it.

It functions as intended, clearly increases the radio range, and reception inside buildings is much better. The thread fits without issue and holds the antenna firmly.

The signal is much stronger than with the factory antenna. In my experience, it is a better choice than a flexible antenna of similar length.

Much better transmission and reception range compared to the factory antenna. I really like the option to fold the antenna, as with old military equipment, and the workmanship is much higher quality. The only downside is that after fully tightening the antenna, the outer casing does not touch the radio and the antenna is held in place only by the thread. I suggest making a plastic ring 4-5mm thick to fit the base of the antenna.
