Paracord 550 rope, 30 metres long and 5 mm in diameter, made of tough nylon and equipped with a 7-core. It combines resistance to damage with flexibility, making it a versatile tool for a variety of applications.

Tensile resistance, 7-core, strength up to 250 kg

The nylon used for the rope has excellent resistance to mechanical damage and weathering. The quick-drying surface and UV colour fastness further enhance its practicality.

The interior of the cord consists of 7 solid core fibres, which provides exceptional tensile strength. Paracord has a static strength of 250 kg (550 lbs).

Application and activity examples

Survival and outdoor: Works well for building shelters, unzipping tarpaulins, tarps or tents. Ideal for making survival bracelets, braiding the handles of tools such as knives or axes to improve grip and comfort.

    The cord was bought as a universal base for various applications during hammock trips. I use it to fasten the tarp, as a ridgeline, additional suspension, guy lines or prusiks. It works perfectly. It seems durable and solid – I've never been let down during a dozen or so trips, using the cord for all kinds of camp activities.     The paracord is not perfect, but it offers good value for money. The 30-metre length is a generous amount. It is lightweight, although it does not have a perfectly round cross-section. Along the entire length, you can notice a few joins or welds, which may make tying knots more difficult if they happen to fall exactly in that spot — especially adjustable and tensioning ones. Even so, the cord is sturdy, and its green colour blends well into the surroundings, which makes it easy to lose in the grass.

    I bought the cord mainly for bushcraft, but it can be useful for just about anything while hiking. It’s lightweight and soft, not as stiff as climbing ropes usually are. The colour is perfect for outdoor use. At this price, it was almost free, I recommend buying it.
