This is a really great torch, so why am I giving it four stars? I really appreciate the additional red light in this Wizard model, it's a big plus. However, the method of switching between white and red modes is, in my opinion, a downside – you need to double-click, which is different from other Armytek models or competitors, where this action activates Turbo. Here, Turbo is part of the cycle; you can get around this by switching off the torch and turning it on in Firefly mode, but it’s not quite the same. The torch remains very solid, as is usual for this brand, and the coating provides a secure grip and is pleasant to the touch despite the absence of ribbing; however, it unfortunately scratches easily. This doesn’t affect its performance, but anyone concerned about appearance should be aware that after some time, the torch will look used. The description lacked information that, during magnetic charging, you need to unscrew the end by about a quarter turn to begin charging – those who know, know, but still… Additionally, giving the weight without the battery – while it may make sense for the Elf series, in my opinion, it needs to be corrected here, as everyone compares the weight of devices. Overall, I rate the purchase very positively – it’s a great bit of kit and I hope it’ll serve me for a long time, though personally I could see a few more improvements.

Armytek Wizard C2 WR Magnet USB Warm PCB Head Torch and Angled Torch - 1020 lumens
Angled torch features two warm white XD16 LEDs emitting light with a power of 1020 lumens and a range of up to 97 metres, as well as two red XQE LEDs with a power of 230 lumens and a range of 41 metres. With the available headband, it can be used as a head torch with adjustable lighting angle.
The new version of the popular Wizard C2 torch offers a battery integrated with a PCB protection circuit.
TIR lens, digital brightness stabilisation
Using the TIR lens, a wide beam of light is obtained, characterised by the absence of visible differences between the central spot and side illumination. Digital brightness stabilisation allows for maintaining constant brightness without flickering, even when the battery is weakened. The magnet located at the back allows for attachment to any metal surface, and the detachable steel clip enables attachment to clothing or gear.
Work modes
The torch offers 5 work modes for white LEDs and 5 for red ones. The work mode can be selected using a convenient side button.
Work modes for white LEDs – brightness / runtime:
- Turbo - 1100 lm / 2.5 h (520 lm after 90 sec.)
- Main 2 - 410 lm / 4 h
- Main 1 - 130 lm / 13 h
- firefly - 0.6 lm / 65 days
- strobe - 410 lm / 17 h
Work modes for red LEDs – brightness / runtime:
- Turbo - 230 lm / 3 h (160 lm after 7 min.)
- Main 2 - 72 lm / 13 h
- Main 1 - 18 lm / 46 h
- firefly - 0.1 lm / 65 days
- strobe - 230 lm / 9 h 20 min
Aluminium housing, IP68 waterproof rating
The structure made of aircraft-grade aluminium is coated with hard, matte type III anodising. Compliance with the IP68 rating ensures full protection against dust ingress and safety in immersion up to a depth of 10 m for a duration of 2 hours. The torch is also shock-resistant and drop-proof from a height of 10 m.
Battery-powered, magnetic charger
The torch is powered by an 18650 Li-Ion battery, and charging with the included magnetic USB charger takes 3 h 20 minutes. The battery is equipped with a built-in PCB protection circuit, protecting the electronics from overcharging, excessive discharging, short circuit, and overload, and monitoring the cell temperature, cutting off power during overheating.

The torch provides excellent light, and the magnet in the base is a very practical solution, especially when working on the car. I have minor comments regarding the operation of the software – sometimes it seems to me that the lowest brightness levels (Firefly) are missing, as if they are not always available. An additional downside is the protruding power button – the torch can turn itself on in a pocket or holster, which may result in battery drain or overheating. The lack of a button lock is a significant drawback for this type of equipment.
