MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its aim was to develop a versatile masking pattern that effectively works in diverse environments and changing terrain conditions. The MultiCam pattern contains seven colours, providing seamless transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This makes it dynamically adapt to the background, taking on green tones in forested areas or browns and beiges in desert regions - particularly effective in Central and Eastern Europe during the autumn season and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained global recognition and is used by various armed forces and special units. In 2010, this camouflage was officially adopted by the US military as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also available for civilian users, making it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
