MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs), as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its goal was to develop a versatile concealment pattern that effectively works in diverse environments and changing terrain conditions. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors, providing smooth transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to dynamically adapt to the background, taking on green tones in forested areas or browns and beiges in desert regions—particularly effective in Central and Eastern Europe during autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained global recognition and is used by various military forces and special units. In 2010, this camouflage was officially adopted by the U.S. Army as the pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
