MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a versatile camouflage that performs effectively across diverse terrains and fluctuating environmental settings. Comprising seven colors, the MultiCam pattern features gradient shifts between shades of green, brown, and beige. This enables it to seamlessly blend with different surroundings, adopting green hues in wooded areas or brown and beige tones in desert landscapes. It is particularly effective in Central and Eastern European environments during autumn or among dry vegetation. MultiCam has earned global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the US Army for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available for civilian use, making it a favored choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
