Tested in the Beskids. The backpack fits well on the back, has a comfortable hip belt, and a pocket on the left for a phone, which is very useful. It looks aesthetically pleasing, is handy and lightweight. However, it lacks a mesh or elastic bands on the front flap – this simple solution would increase its functionality. It also seems that the total capacity of the backpack is a bit smaller than the declared 20l, especially when using a hydration bladder and the front pocket is full.

Alpinus Negoiu Backpack 20 l - Sage
A sage travel backpack with a capacity of 20 litres. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, it is suitable for daily use in the city as well as for mountain trips. It features an integrated rain cover, reflective Alpinus Safety elements, and an H2O system allowing for the use of hydration inserts.
Durable construction from nylon Dobby, Rip-Stop weave
It is made from lightweight and durable 210D Dobby nylon with Rip-Stop weave. This material is characterised by a geometric pattern with high resistance to damage and wear. The fabric does not unravel or fray even after local damage. The backpack is additionally coated with a layer protecting against dirt and moisture.
Spacious main compartment, additional gear pockets, SBS buckles and zips
The main compartment is closed with a zip. The model uses solid SBS zips and buckles. Side compression straps allow for reducing the backpack's volume and provide additional stabilisation. In the main compartment, there is an internal pocket for a hydration insert compatible with the Alpinus H2O system. The upper part of the backpack has an opening for the hydration system tube.
The Negoiu model is equipped with 8 pockets:
- two side ones made from elastic mesh
- two external ones with zips
- two internal ones
- two on the hip belt with zips
Numerous tapes and hooks allow for attaching additional equipment outside the backpack.
Adjustable shoulder straps, chest and hip belt, contoured back
The carrying system consists of adjustable shoulder straps and chest and hip belts, which evenly distribute weight during hikes in difficult terrain. An additional feature of the backpack is the possibility to completely detach the hip belt, which can serve as a separate pouch for small items. For increased carrying comfort, the shoulder straps and rear panel are lined with soft foam. The ergonomically contoured back has a light mesh ensuring proper air circulation and moisture wicking.
Reflective elements, rain cover
Safety during movement at dusk or in low visibility conditions is ensured by reflective Alpinus Safety elements. Additionally, the backpack is equipped with a retractable rain cover.
