I strongly recommend watching the instructional videos because a beginner will have difficulty discovering all the possibilities of this tool on their own. I think negative reviews come from a lack of this knowledge. I have had it for two years and I am very satisfied – just a few strokes are enough to sharpen a blade like a razor. Its biggest advantage is a large, 320 grit diamond plate, which allows you to quickly improve the edge that has been initially sharpened on carbides. I especially recommend it for beginners, mainly using cheap kitchen knives.
