Wisport SilverFox II 40 l Backpack - Multicam Tropic
Military medium-size backpack in MultiCam Tropic camouflage, with a capacity of 40 litres. Equipped with many functional solutions, such as ski attachment handles and a developed SAS and OpenBack carrying system with an opening back panel. Made from durable Cordura, equipped with certified ITW Nexus and Duraflex buckles and reinforced seams. This makes it exceptionally resistant to damage regardless of conditions.
OpenBack system
The backpack features the OpenBack system enabling access to the interior through a detachable rear panel. By unfastening the shoulder straps and unzipping the zipper, access to the entire main compartment of the backpack from the frame side is possible, which is especially beneficial when carrying a large amount of equipment. This allows for easy removal or insertion of needed items without needing to remove others.
Developed SAS carrying system
SAS (Semi Adjustable System), being a part of the carrying system, allows the backpack to be adjusted to an individual silhouette. Includes adjustable chest and hip straps, which effectively transfer the load onto the hips and relieve the spine. The shoulder straps are attached with buckles and have handles for the hydration system hose. The shoulder straps and back are trimmed with soft, breathable mesh, providing better ventilation.
Closure with flap and extended chimney
The design is based on one large main compartment closed with a flap with a chimney. The flap is attached with two adjustable straps with Fastex buckles and the chimney with drawstring allows for increasing the backpack's volume if necessary. The flap additionally has a top pocket closed with a zipper and a Velcro panel for attaching patches or badges.
MOLLE/PALS mounting system and ski holders
The backpack and its interior are equipped with mounting straps of the MOLLE/PALS system, which allow for the attachment of additional pockets and pouches. Additional external straps with buckles allow transporting larger elements of equipment, such as a sleeping bag, sleeping pad or jacket. On the sides, there are open pockets for a water bottle or thermos and ski holders.
Rain cover and internal organiser
Inside the backpack there is an additional organiser with a mesh pocket and a compartment for a water tank of the hydration system. The double bottom is equipped with a rain cover, which provides protection to the backpack and its contents from rain or snow.

An amazing backpack – solid, comfortable and very spacious. During a winter trip to the Tatras, it was comfortable even when fully loaded. The side pockets can fit an Esbit thermos even when the backpack is full. The back-access system is moderately convenient – the idea itself is fine, but to reach inside you have to undo five buckles and a zip, which is a bit troublesome.

I hesitated for a long time before buying a medium-sized backpack, but the Silverfox II turned out to be a perfect choice. Solid workmanship and high-quality materials. It fits well on the back. The possibility to attach pockets – also on the hip belt, which was important to me. The backpack opens from the side of the back, so if you want to get inside, you don’t put the dirty side on the ground and don’t get dirty again when putting it back on. Thanks to the chimney, adjustable lid and straps on the lid, underneath and at the sides, you can fit much more than the declared capacity allows. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

The backpack is solidly made, as you would expect from the Wisport brand. It features practical solutions such as an opening back panel, which makes it easier to access the inside without making a mess. Inside, there is an organiser and an option to attach a hydration bladder. On the outside, there are numerous places to attach additional gear. I have used the backpack a few times during field trips – it is very spacious and comfortable to use. I definitely recommend it.

It gives the impression of a solid construction. Excellently designed – it has an extra pocket on the top, can be opened like a suitcase, and the roll-top closure allows you to enlarge the backpack. There are many options for attaching equipment, an internal organiser with Velcro, a sturdy hip belt, and side pockets for bottles.

The backpack is characterised by high-quality craftsmanship, which is typical for the Wisport brand. It seems to be extremely durable. A big plus is the possibility to fully unzip the backpack, which makes it easy to access everything inside. I replaced my Sparrow II 30l with additional pockets for this one and now all my gear fits without any problem. A great choice for BOBA, also in terms of colour.

This is the best backpack you can buy. It’s very spacious and durable – practically indestructible. The backpack even outdoes Chuck Norris when it comes to toughness. What’s more, the manufacturer offers an excellent guarantee, which makes it a lifetime purchase. I’m hugely impressed with the quality of these backpacks and the attention to detail. If this one ever breaks, I’ll definitely buy the same one again. I highly recommend it!
