Volven Pro Traxion Lite Hiking Crampons - Green

The crampons worked brilliantly during a hike in the Polish mountains at an altitude of just under 1,400 metres above sea level in April. In some places, the snow reached quite high, in others just above the ankles. The difference in stability when walking with the crampons compared to without them is enormous. The product definitely made it easier to move around in the snow and gave an advantage over those who were walking without this equipment and had difficulty keeping their balance on slippery surfaces, even when it was fairly flat. Even going down steep sections, I had no problems with slipping. Thanks to the crampons, I didn't lose as much energy in tough conditions. I definitely recommend them to anyone who doesn’t want to improve their balance while winter trekking :) Size 'L' fitted well on men's trekking boots, size 43, from a well-known brand beginning with the letter ‘Q’. In the photo you can see that I even left the size tag attached. They went on quite snugly but stayed secure. I had no problems with them slipping off the boots. I considered whether to choose a model with more spikes, but it turned out that this number is sufficient, and thanks to having fewer, I spent less money and the product weighed less—which I also see as an advantage : )
