A very good classic – an excellently made knife, which is wonderfully sharp right out of the box and stays sharp for a long time. The steel probably contains a lot of carbon, which affects the durability of the blade, though I did notice a bit of rust at the tip. However, all it took was a careful wipe and the problem disappeared.

For years these knives have been unrivalled in this price range. Their quality hasn't changed in ages. I have 'pikutki' over 20 years old and I'm buying more – they're excellent. Knives shouldn't be washed in the dishwasher, not only because of the blade but also the handle. Once, I used capsules from Action and there were stains on 18/10 steel cutlery. Polypropylene or other cheaper materials pick up marks even faster.

As is always the case with Victorinox, the knife is made with great care and attention to every detail. Despite its small size, it has become my main kitchen knife – it is sharp and comfortable to use. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Victorinox doesn’t cope very well with dishwashing. What happened with the current knives? I mainly use them for cutting vegetables at home – board, knife, veg.
