I bought the sharpener mainly for kitchen knives. For my wife, it's ideal, because you don't have to watch the sharpening angle, which used to be difficult. Additionally, it has a comfortable grip that doesn't slip out of your hand, and your hands stay clean after sharpening. The only downside is the difficulty in sharpening very short blades (less than 8 cm).
