Tasmanian Tiger Base Pack FO Backpack 60 l - MultiCam
Backpack with a capacity of 60 litres and an adjustable V2 Plus carrying system. Designed to transport a larger amount of equipment, it allows the load to be organised thanks to its advanced design. Made from a combination of mechanically damage-resistant Cordura 700D and durable T-Square Rip FD fabric.
The outer fabrics are coated with a protective DWR finish (free from PFC/PFAS substances) that limits moisture absorption.
2 spacious compartments and compression straps
The backpack has 2 compartments (main and bottom), which makes it easier to organise the load and separate individual items. Access to the main compartment from the top is provided by an extendable chimney closed with a roll-top system, allowing the backpack capacity to be increased from 60 to 75 litres. The upper section is additionally secured with a detachable flap with snap buckles. The flap features a practical pocket for small accessories.
Additional access to the main compartment from the front is provided by a FO (Front Opening) zip for full opening, which makes packing and removing contents easier. The bottom compartment is closed with a two-way zip, providing convenient access. Compression straps allow the backpack volume to be adjusted.
compatible with a hydration system
Inside the main compartment there is a divider suitable for a radio or water tank and an opening for routing an antenna or hydration tube. The interior is also equipped with velcro panels, which allow the contents to be organised using compatible inserts.
MOLLE/PALS system, D-rings, and straps
The backpack features numerous MOLLE/PALS system webbing straps across the entire surface, allowing it to be expanded with additional pockets and pouches. The design includes a holder for attaching an ice ax or trekking poles. Additional mounting points are provided by D-rings, allowing more equipment to be attached. The zips are finished with large pull straps for easier operation.
Adjustable V2 Plus carrying system
The backpack is equipped with an adjustable V2 Plus carrying system that can be adapted to the user's height:
- shoulder straps with smooth length adjustment
- chest strap with adjustable height and circumference, increasing stability while moving
- detachable hip belt that can be used as a separate tactical belt
The back panel is made of resilient foam covered with breathable mesh, which improves ventilation. The design is complemented by solid carry handles, allowing it to be carried by hand.
MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior programme. Its goal was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrain and changing environmental conditions.
The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. Thanks to this, it dynamically adapts to the background, taking on green shades in forest terrain or brown and beige tones in desert regions - in the environment of Central and Eastern Europe, it works particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the U.S. Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military surplus and airsoft enthusiasts.

The Tasmanian Tiger Base Pack FO backpack with a capacity of 60 litres in olive colour is a great choice – it allows you to adjust the volume according to your needs. What convinced me to buy it was especially the possibility of opening it from the top and the front, which makes packing equipment much easier. The Cordura 700 material makes a great impression, and the shoulder straps effectively relieve the back. I definitely recommend it.
