These are my first active headphones; previously, I only used passive ones, so the difference is really significant. The amplification of sound during conversations is also noteworthy – the voice is clear and not irritating to the ears. The noise suppression of gunshots is at a very good level. The set includes a 3.5mm jack cable to connect the headphones to a radio or intercom – however, the headphones only support listening, they do not have a microphone for transmitting (these are only for active noise reduction). You can’t listen to music on them, but they work excellently when working with a radio. The volume buttons on the sides of the headphones adjust the level of surrounding sounds – they do not affect the volume of sound transmitted through the 3.5mm jack cable, which must be set directly at the source.

The advanced SordinHEAR2 system offers high-quality audio processing and four distinct audio profiles (Hunting, Focus, Shooting, Comms). Two waterproof omnidirectional microphones accurately capture ambient sounds and transmit them to internal speakers. Hazardous sounds are reduced to 82 dB, while quiet ones are appropriately amplified.
Contoured headband, step adjustment system, large buttons
The ergonomically shaped headband is made of steel and plastic, finished with black natural leather. Thanks to the step adjustment system, the size can be easily customized to individual needs. The foldable design facilitates transport and storage. The earcups are fitted with comfortable gel cushions for enhanced wearing comfort. Large, intuitive control buttons allow operation even while wearing gloves, also in adverse weather conditions. The design is suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
Battery power, low battery indicator, auto shut-off
The Sordin Supreme Pro-X Gel Leather uses two AAA batteries, providing up to 400 hours of operation. Battery replacement involves removing the panel on one of the earcups. A built-in low battery indicator activates about 40 hours before depletion, and there is an automatic shut-off function after 4 hours of inactivity.
