Snugpak Softie Antarctica Standard Sleeping Bag - Olive
Olive, winter mummy-style sleeping bag allows for comfortable positioning and free movement during sleep. Made from materials developed by Snugpak, such as Paratex Steelplate, Paratex Light and Softie Premier. The interior of the sleeping bag features a Reflectatherm layer, which reflects body heat, significantly enhancing thermal comfort. Standard size model with a length of 220 cm when unfolded.
Temperatures and usage conditions
The Softie Antarctica model is intended for use in extreme conditions, where heat protection and moisture defence are crucial. The usable temperature range, specified by the manufacturer, is from -30 to -20 deg. C.
Paratex Steelplate and Paratex Light material, DWR coating
The outer shell of the sleeping bag is made from Paratex Steelplate, providing high breathability, wind and moisture resistance thanks to DWR waterproofing (Durable Water Repellency). As a result, dew drops will remain on the fabric surface, preventing soaking. The interior is made from Paratex Light, which is characterised by softness, high wind resistance, and breathability of 12l/m2/24h. Excellent breathability prevents condensation of moisture inside, originating from heat and cold exchange.
Beneath the inner layer is a metalised Reflectatherm fabric, which reflects body heat, enhancing the sleeping bag's thermal insulation by about 15%. Inner foot area reinforcement allows sleep in footwear without risk of material damage.
Softie Premier filling
The filling made from Softie Premier ensures warmth retention even in damp conditions, and its soft structure makes the sleeping bag pleasant to touch. Specially designed filling fibres allow for hand and machine washing, if necessary.
The mummy design has been optimised to minimise heat loss. Elimination of traditional through stitching reduces the risk of creating thermal bridges, providing even insulation across the entire surface.
Two-way YKK zip, adjustable hood
The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zip from the renowned company YKK, centrally positioned, with an internal protective strip that prevents the fabric from getting caught and reduces heat loss. Anatomically fitted hood protects the head from the cold.
Convenient transport and storage
The model is adapted for convenient transport and storage. When compressed, the sleeping bag measures 30 x 25 cm and weighs 2950 g. The set includes a practical compression bag, protecting against dirt and damage.
